The Tauck Family Foundation’s approach relies on us managing our own performance against two sets of outcomes for our investees.

Outcomes

We have been guided in our new approach by a desire to strengthen our non-profit investees over time and to help them leverage better prospects for the young people of Bridgeport.

To this end, we will be supporting and tracking the development of two sets of outcomes over time:

  1. Organizational Outcomes: Strengthening the organizational capacity of non-profits
  2. Child Outcomes: Strengthening the social and emotional capacity of children

Like our investees, the Tauck Family Foundation “walk the talk” by managing our own performance in order to:

  • Select any future investees and structure investments to current investees
  • Help monitor investees’ progress against their goals
  • Continue our own learning about social investing, performance management, and social and emotional learning, and develop and share knowledge in the field
  • Learn about our own grantmaking processes and what works well and what doesn’t; we will change our strategy based on what we learn
  • Be accountable – to ourselves as a foundation, to our investees, and to the children of Bridgeport.
